: Making Istikharah without praying →

Question: The Istikharah prayer is to pray two rakat and then to say the dua (supplication) that has been narrated by the Prophet peace and blessings are upon him, but sometimes oh Sheik people make the dua of Istikharah without praying so what is the correctness of this?

Oh I didn’t know you can istikharah without going through two rakaat.. Doing both is probably best...

Just so you know...
…I’d never stopped tumblr-ing despite the lack of activity on my page. I’d just been reading the people I’m following.
